Hundreds flee volcano in Kyushu
火山の影響で数百人が避難

MIYAZAKI--Hundreds of residents have fled their homes as fears are growing that volcanic activity on Mount Shinmoedake will culminate in a huge eruption triggering destructive pyroclastic flows of searing gases and rocks.
宮崎県―新燃岳の火山活動の活発化により、数百人の住民が避難した。
新燃岳はまもなく頂点にたっする。ガスとか岩とかよくんないものがくるよ。

The town of Takaharu in Miyazaki Prefecture advised 513 households of 1,158 residents to evacuate from late Sunday night.
宮崎県タカハル町では、1158世帯のうちの513世帯に先週の土曜の夜に非難するように指示した。

About 600 braved the frigid temperatures and arrived by Monday morning to take shelter at public facilities in the town.
600の人たちは月曜のあさ寒い中、公共施設についた。
